Unhealthy habits and behaviors can create stress. You can
change these habits/behaviors one at a time. Keep it simple. First, write down a habit/behavior you
want to change and do differently. Next, write to clarify what it is you want to stop doing and
change in 10 wds. or less. Then also in 10 wds. or less, write how how you are going to change the
habit/behavior and what you are going to do differently. Lastly, again in 10 wds.or <, write what
this positive change will do for you. Positive change will create less stress.

Another quick rejuvenator.... Take off your
shoes....spend 5-10 mins. with each foot massaging them and working thumb pressure into
reflex points which are located t/o the foot so you can't miss really, thumbing your way t/o the
sole of your feet....working in the arch of the foot from big toe to end of heel(the "spinal
column") and the fleshy area beneath the ball of the foot is especially reviving.

Simple, regular stretches can make all the difference but
when you add self-massage w/ it, it is even more effective. Your hands instinctively know what to
do so let your one hand massage in your palm, massage each finger using your thumb and forefinger,
massage wrists and inner forearm using thumb from the opposite hand in a stripping motion from
wrist down to the elbow. Be inventive and creative. Self-massage is a great adjunct to
stretching.

"Good Health is Wealth". Consider this...being healthy to me
means lots of things. It means less Dr. appts. for treatment (vs. a doc appt. for prevention), less
medications, feeling well a majority of the time, and getting sick rarely to
occassionally.
Do you know that the average person gets 4-6 colds a yr. It
is a blessing to not be ill. A healthy immunity is key. So,make good food choices, exercise, get
rest/sleep,keep a positive outlook, spend time w/ loved ones (phone time counts if face to
face is not possible) and most importantly, manage your stress!
High stress levels that go unchecked are linked to weight
gain, elevated cholesterol, premature aging of the skin and lowered immunity (which means more
susceptibility to colds, flu, etc.) The common denominator is cortisol, the stress hormone released
more excessively by elevated stress levels. Our immune system is our first line of defense against
disease.
A depressed, supressed and compromised immunity has
consequences and one is illness. So protect your precious immune system by taking care of it by
managing the stress in your life.
Massage therapy is the premier way to manage stress because
it brings a person into a relaxed state quickly and I would wager faster than anything
else.

What you may be
suffering from is what I call "Blackberryitis"brought on by repetitive motion and overuse of specific muscle groups. The
constant same motion/action over and over and over creates the overuse/abuse scenario...a player
in CTS...carpal tunnel syndrome.
If your shoulders are elevated too (also typical body
mechanics at computers) the neck and shoulders are involved as well.
What is a girl/guy to do?
Blackberry
massage to the rescue! The focus of Blackberry Massage are the arms, hands and fingers receiving
fine, muscularly detailedmassage.Back, neck and shoulder massage are also incorporated
as well as range of motion work and stretching.
Blackberry massage as well as any massage work spells

When a person is in pain, experiencing discomfort of any kind
and does not feel "at ease" in their body and mind,it shows. It shows on our faces,in the way we
walk,in our gait and how we hold and carry ourselves. In other words, it shows in our body language.
If you want to look and feel your best, take care of your health.Massage therapy can help you do
just that!

Daily stretching for a minimum of
5-10 mins(10-15 is best) 2 times a day can make a difference in how we feel, especially those
working in the cyber world....stretching neck, shoulders, back, hands and arms.
